“Borrowed Vessel” Linocut
A print inspired by the practice of the sky burial rites performed in Tibet and surrounding areas. Allowing oneself to return their corporeal vessel as an offering to nature, for the vultures. Death for them isn't an end, but a transition.
Tibetans believe that the soul leaves the body upon death, leaving no trace of attachment to the physical vessel. But in order to have an easy transition to the next life, there should be no remnants of their physical body after death.
